Lola Arpa wins Women Pro, Emilian Planas takes the Youth title, while Piet Varkevisser and Sebastian Lange secure Masters podium finishes
MENTON, FRANCE – September 13, 2026 – Spanish LIFT rider Manel Arpa has been crowned the 2026 SFT E-Foil World Champion after winning the Men Pro division at the season-ending LA FRECH SFT E-Foil World Cup in Menton, France.
The championship remained undecided until the final stop on the French Riviera. Racing on his red LIFTX race board, Arpa delivered when it mattered most, winning the Men Pro competition ahead of Austria’s Clemens Kresser and French-Tahitian rider Teiki Marani.
The victory secured the world championship for Arpa with 9,570 ranking points, just 30 points ahead of defending champion Justin Chait. It completed an exceptional season that included victories in Morocco, Shenzhen, Lake Garda and finally Menton.
One Board, Two Winners
The Arpa family celebrated a remarkable double victory in Menton. Manel’s sister Lola Arpa won the Women Pro division, finishing ahead of Laura Jil Kurmann from the Netherlands and Selin Piskiner from Turkey.
Remarkably, Manel and Lola achieved their victories using the same red LIFTX race board – taking both the Men Pro and Women Pro titles at the final World Cup event of the season.
Their success demonstrated not only the talent of the two Spanish riders, but also the racing potential and versatility of the LIFTX platform at the highest level of international eFoil competition.
Further LIFT Success Across the Categories
Young French rider Emilian Planas added another victory for LIFT by winning the Youth category on his LIFTX eFoil.
The Masters competition also produced two further podium finishes for LIFT riders. Dutch racer Piet Varkevisser finished second, while Germany’s Sebastian Lange, founder of efoilmasters, secured third place. Austria’s Clemens Kresser won the Masters division.
These results gave LIFT riders victories or podium positions across Men Pro, Women Pro, Youth and Masters during an outstanding weekend of racing on the French Riviera.
